Whenever I think of Joan I will always remember her in her tiny feet but always with her gorgeous high heel shoes. She always looked so glamorous in her outfits but it was her red high heels which stick in my memory.  I know it was very hard for her to give up her heels due to the debilitating rheumatoid arthritis.

She is now out of pain which she bore with such bravery, without complaint, so now rest in peace dear Joan with much love from your niece Jan xx
